Headline: EU Wants Shared Control of Internet
Of course they do. My first inclination was to tell them to ‘bugger off’, but then I had a much better idea. Lease it to them. Here’s the plan:
• Initial buy-in of $500 trillion with 1 trillion dollars annually thereafter.
• $300 trillion is used to open a one million dollar, tax free account for every American.
• $100 trillion to establish free universal health care.
• $1 trillion prize for the development of viable, mass producible, non fossil fuel engine with the technology to be shared as public domain. Another $9 trillion is invested in infrastructure to support the new technology.
• $1 trillion (and the lease payment for each year thereafter) invested in research and infrastructure for the internet and the following generations thereof.
Feel free to offer suggestions for the last $89 trillion, why should congress and I have all the fun.
I suppose, so that if some nutcase decides to spend his million dollars on beer and DVD’s, there should be some guidelines for the personal accounts. $500,000 should be reserved for retirement. $100,000 for the future purchase of a non fossil fuel vehicle when they become available, another $100,000 each for housing and education and we can have free reign on the last 200 G’s. There probably should be a mechanism in place to waive the spending guidelines under certain circumstances.
You might not think this plan would come from me, but don’t confuse the fiscally conservative libertarian with the guy who sits around planning on how he will spend the money when he hits the lottery. This was more fun than that, because I got to spend much more money.
